2017 LOTTIE MOON CHRISTMAS OFFERING (see 2016 LMCO)
As the missionary sending arm of the Southern Baptist Convention, the International Mission Board (IMB) partners with churches to send limitless missionary teams to unreached people and places. The annual Lottie Moon Christmas Offering is integral to funding that work. Last year's offering raised $153 million.
The communication challenge: IMB needed to build on the strength of the existing creative strategy with the goal of reaching and equipping pastors, as well as increasing church participation.
Kumveka's solution: With the 2016 strategy as a framework, we refined this year's strategy to focus on and support pastors. The visuals illustrate the height, depth, and breadth of IMB's reach as proof of impact. The messaging also speaks to this, reminding pastors about the tremendous influence their church's giving has on international missions. The 2017 offering raised $158.9 million, the second highest total in SBC history.
